Seeking comic actors with some basic musical/singing ability for "Volcano The Natural Disaster."  This show is a one-hour farce with a live band, set on a tropical island with an active volcano. Black Pride NYC, Inc. and Jackson Anubis Productions present a new play "Happy Birthday Madam Alberta." "Happy Birthday Madam Alberta" examines complex issues within the black gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans-gendered communities: macho bisexuality; lesbian love; male to female transformation, gay marriage and the threat of HIV infection. This cutting edge play with drama, comedy and life lessons will be an excellent actor's showcase and will rehearse for 4-5 weeks with performances at the Studio at the Cherry Lane Theater June 22-26.

The play is a part of the Black Pride NYC, Inc. Gay Pride Week events and explores four friends who gather to celebrate the birthday of one of New York City's most legendary drag performers, Madam Alberta.

All goes well until they play a dangerous game of "Truth or Dare" then all hell breaks loose!

The Cast:
Madam Alberta: Drag queen star, 35-40, witty yet vulnerable, strong yet ultra femme, haunted by her past and struggling with the decision to have a sex change operation.
Ray: Gangster mafia hit man in love with Alberta, 40-55, macho "Bear" type, guilty about being estranged from his children.
Cougar: Handsome, sexy painter, 19-24, virgin, curious about gay life and unsure of his future.
Billy: Butch lesbian social worker, 45-60, Alberta's best friend, excited about her new romance with Keesha.

And when another murder occurs in the town of Lofting, things become entangled and strange. Drama and suspense fill this story of mystery, madness, and attraction.

This is for a series of dramatic, staged photographs I am putting together, revolving around the theme of inner and outer death, disaster, catastrophe, paralysis, and ruin, for possible exhibition in an art gallery or book. "Last First Kiss" seeking model type extras   3/24
Seeking - for "background extra" work -male and female models, all races, early to mid twenties for 5 days of work. Must be available and commit to working April 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8. Femison Productions has been asked to cast lesbian comedians who do primarily lesbian / gay oriented material for an independent film project called, "Let's Be Friends." Union/Non-Union are welcome.
